Direct Line Mortgages

Direct Line are part of the RBS group, that is Royal Bank of Scotland.

They are well known for their bright red telephone that has appeared in adverts over the years.

They were formed in 1985, and were the largest provider of motor car insurance for a time. They are based on Croydon but have many offices around the world.

They are definitely best known as players in the insurance market, however they do also have mortgage products which you may not be aware of.

However, they have actually stopped making mortgages available to new customers, but they continue to be listed here as they are of course a mortgage lender to people who already have mortgages with them.

They stopped making mortgages available to new customers from March 29th 2010.

For others who already have mortgages with them there are dedicated phone lines you can call on their website.

There are links to changing deal, borrowing more, moving home and receiving mortgage help from their website at the time of writing.
