Harpenden Building Society Mortgages

The Harpenden Building Society is another of those small UK building societies that you might not have heard of; of course the majority of building societies that you would have heard of in the past have now demutualised!

It is of course based in Harpenden as you would guess from the name, and it is based therefore in Hertfordshire.

Whilst you might not have heard of it, it has quite a reasonably long history, being formed as it was in 1953. It is the 47th largest building society in the UK, which means that it is relatively small compared to many financial institutions.

Their mortgage range however is large, and they mention that they offer a personalised and common sense approach to mortgage lending.

They also say that they can lend to unusual properties of projects so if you're not wanting a mainstream product or have unusual situations then it could be worth looking into their product range.

You can find out more about their tailored mortgages from their website.

Their proudct range includes guarantor mortgages, lifetime only mortgages, re-mortgages, bridging loans, unique home mortgages, second or holiday home mortgages, buy to let, let to buy, property development/refurbishment, commercial/semi-commercial mortgages, right to buy mortgages and evne agricultural or equestrian mortgages, so you can see that there is a very wide range of different products to choose from.
