Intelligent Finance Mortgages

IF is a UK based offset bank.

It was originally created as a part of the Halifax back at the turn of the millennium, in the year 2000.

It is based in Scotland, with the headquarters being in Edinburgh and also the customer services being based in Scotland too.

The bank was popular and many customers used it, particularly those who were technically savvy and wanted to take advantage of some of the attractive offers on things like savings rates that were afforded to the customers to the new outfit.

In terms of mortgages, they are still a mortgage lender although they withdrew mortgages to new customers in July 2009.

For existing mortgage customers, things are unaffected. There is a fairly lengthy set of FAQs on their website (if.com) that outlines the changes that have been made to mortgages and so if you are an IF customer and have any questions about the IF mortgage, then you should go directly to their website and view the FAQs; if they don't answer your questions then they have the usual methods of contacting them listed on their website.
