Why Buy in Cyprus

There is a relatively large ex-pat community in Cyprus. Indeed, it is not unknown for there to be areas where the local mayor is actually British because the ex-pat community there is so large that they have been able to elect a British mayor!

There are many compelling reasons to move to Cyprus. One of the main ones of course is the climate, if you like it hot and sunny then Cyprus could be the place for you, particularly as the vast majority of days are dry and clear and there are not too many rainy days.

This coupled with the fact that it can be less of a culture shock than relocating to some countries: in the sense that most things are in English as well as Greek and you will often hear English being spoken in many places, means it can in some ways quickly feel like home from home.

Another plus point is that the cost of living is relatively lower than most of Europe in Cyprus so you can get a good property for your money. It is also quite safe and secure in that it has a relatively low rate of crime, and with several airports there are good links in and out of the country to a range of major European cities and of course many cities across the UK.

Given all of these considerations, it can be seen that Cyprus is a popular destination for people looking to move abroad but who, for whatever reason, don't wish to move to somewhere like Spain which also offers the nicer climate.
