Buy to let mortgage...

How can I work out which is the best buy to let mortgage for me...

What sort of differences are there between the different types of buy to let mortgages and which are the most important to consider for someone starting off in property investing?

Are there any websites or property magazines where I can see such information, perhaps a list of key features and a comparison of different products?

Yes if you are in the UK then there are several property magazines on the shelves that you could purchase.

These all provide lots of information on the various mortgages, typically with a case study to show you how they work, and there are also the comparison tables at the back of these magazines that you can use to get a feel for the differences between the products on the market and also which one may be the best option for you.

In terms of mortgages then the obvious choice in terms of magazines would be the What Mortgage magazine. If you go into Smiths or any other newsagent then they should have that, I believe it is a monthly publication though not bought it for a while, if not then it would be at least bi-monthly I suspect. Worth buying for a general overview of the mortgage market and mortgage products out there.
