Buying property in France in 2010...

What are the thoughts of the forum members here on buying property in France this year.

Is this a no no or not?

I have been thinking about Spain but am doing ongoing research and so am widening the field to France and specifically thinking about the south of France, perhaps midi.

What are the prospects for the market in the south of France this year... will property prices be stable or go up or down... I know no one knows for sure but what is thought to be most likely?
