Good time to sell up and leave London...

In the press today that, whilst the London market is buoyant and prices look set to hold up, it is also a good time to leave.

That's because you can sell your London home for a good price but with prices in the rest of the country having fallen quite a bit, then you can get something elsewhere at a really good price right now.

For instance if you want to sell up from London and move to the country then you can get a really good price for your London home and get a lot more for your money elsewhere than you would at other times... and indeed it seems that there are quite a few people currently doing exactly that and moving out of London whilst prices are high in London still but low elsewhere.

This is interesting... as I just posted in the other forum I think that basically London prices are going to continue to go up, so there is no rush to sell.

That said if prices elsewhere are particularly low, and people are thinking of getting away from the so-called rat race anyway, then perhaps it is a good time if you want to maximise what you get for your money.

Though in many more rural prices I don't think prices go up quite as drastically or down quite as drastically as they do in and around town centres; therefore there is no particular reason to be in a hurry to move out now to capitalise on the prices. I'll stop there before I confuse myself as to what I think about this!

I agree.

I think there are so many factors that will keep London property prices up that it's a pretty safe bet if you sit on property there it will go up in value.

With ultimately so many people living in London and such little space for new properties, the demand outstrips supply quite significantly.

Its never a good time to take and leave the place as the price will rise and rise so if the city is proper where you want to live and happy just be there only dont get tense to sell and leave
