Overseas locations tipped to do well in 2010...

Apparently the standard locations that people buy in such as France and Spain are going to see a fall in purchases this year.

However there are some places that are believed to represent a bargain and so this is where lots of investment property might be bought abroad by Brits this year.

Top of the predicted places are the Balearics, and also interestingly property in Italy, which has always proved popular to some extent but perhaps surprisingly less so than France and Spain which tend to get the lions share of investment from British buyers looking to purchase property overseas.

Interesting to hear that the traditional hotspots for purchasing properties overseas are not expected to do that well this year; presumably that's due to the global recession hitting most european countries hard.

They'll probably recover in the years after this one but it does seem to make sense to avoid for now whilst people work out how the market is going to respond.
