Property Prices for the next few years: outlook...

Article in the broadsheets today about property prices over the next few years based on the view of a leading property expert.

The view was that prices will basically flatline for many years to come, and that returns to the 25 years of massive growth we've seen may never happen again.

Although prices will go beyond what they have been up to 2007, once the prices are corrected for inflation the view of the expert was that they will basically flatline and trundle along for a long time, perhaps even up to ten years.

Is this view right or not? Well of course we all know that there are hundreds of experts out there and they have differing opinions, so they can't all be right.

Quite a sobering thought for those looking to invest and continue to make money out of the property game, but perhaps a good note for those who are looking to buy and hoping prices won't rise quicker than they can can save for a while as was the case for a decade or so up to 2007.
