Starting investing in property...

Hi there

As you'll see from my message in the buying abroad part of this site, I am looking to start buying property for an investment purpose, though in Spain rather than in the UK.

If anyone here or anyone who comes across this has experience of property investing it would be great if you could post a few tips here, or even just inspirational stories - like how you got started, common pitfalls to avoid and that sort of thing so that hopefully I can learn something from your experiences!!!

I think this is a great idea for a thread, and it would be really good to see knowledge and tips at first hand from experts.

I think it will take some time to get a reply though as this is quite a specialist sector so exactly the right sort of person has to stumble across this thread and then be willing to share their experience, so there is quite a lot of fall off for each of those requirements... but you never know the right person might just stumble across your post Geoffrey
